It used to be that the POV cameras fitted on helmets, while small, were still bulky and a bit unstable. This is because for it to be put in place, an external mount was required and all sorts of adhesives or Velcro were needed to secure it to the helmet. Older models had even bulkier battery packs that still impeded the action of the wearer even if their hands were kept free to carry other things or do what they want.

Now, however, wireless helmet cams have brought the new generation of wearable cameras to a whole new level. They are actually built into the helmet and have become as sleek and technologically-advanced as ever. Without the big bulk on your head, wireless helmet cams can now record all the live action without slowing down your movements. These micro video cameras, as they are also called, enable combatants, sports enthusiasts, firefighters, medics and other law enforcement officers to record action from war zones, sports arenas, scenes-of-the-crime and areas of natural calamities or other man-made disasters for purposes of leisure viewing, tactical review and inspection, investigative procedures and court evidence.

Aside from doing away with the bulk, state-of-the-art wireless helmet cams also come with a host of other features. For starters, these digital camera recorders come with private video displays for on-site viewing, shockproof and waterproof fittings and housing that make it usable for any geographic terrain, water environment (up to a certain depth) and weather conditions.
